Davies held the rank of Lieutenant in the 13th Light Horse Regiment
of the 4th Light Horse Brigade, and served from May 1915 to October
1917.
He was a farmer and orchardist.
His plan shows a rigid grid of streets oriented from northwest to
southeast and northeast to southwest.
